Saurashtra: the spice heartland of western Gujarat.
Saurashtra has been a centre of spice trade and household blending for generations. The semi-arid climate, deep monsoon-irrigated soils, and well-established farmer networks make it one of India's most reliable spice belts — particularly for cumin, fennel, coriander, and fenugreek.
Chhava sources the bulk of its raw material within a 150 km radius of the Rajkot facility, with direct relationships at the farm level and full lot-traceability from harvest to container.

Cold-grinding, stone mills
Stone and chakki grinding keeps the temperature low and preserves volatile oils that high-speed industrial grinders burn off. The result: deeper colour, sharper aroma, and longer shelf-life across our ground spices and blends.
ISO 22000 facility, HACCP processes
Every batch passes through metal detection, sieve analysis, and microbial testing. Documentation is built in from day one — CoA, Phytosanitary, Certificate of Origin, and destination-specific paperwork ship with every container.
