About this product

How we source, process, and ship Red Chilli Powder.

Our red chilli powder is sourced from Karnataka & Andhra Pradesh, then cleaned, graded, and packed at our ISO 22000 facility in Rajkot. Every lot ships with FSSAI, APEDA RCMC, Spices Board of India documentation, plus a Certificate of Analysis cut at the moment the lot is sealed — not retroactively. We treat documentation as part of the product, not paperwork added at the end.

Grades & customisation

Specify the grade — we mill to it.

Colour is the lever most importers pull first. Standard production runs at ASTA 80 for cost-driven blends, ASTA 120 for the mainstream retail and HORECA grade, and ASTA 160 where a deep, fixed red is the selling point. The ASTA 120 chilli powder exporter spec is our highest-volume line; ASTA 160 is milled from higher-colour pods and priced accordingly.

Heat is specified separately. Because Scoville varies by pod variety and crop year, we set SHU to your specification rather than publishing one fixed number — from sweet, low-pungency blends through to high-heat Teja-led grades. Mesh defaults to 60; finer or coarser grinds are available for sauces, dry rubs and extruded snacks. Stem and seed content, extraneous matter and added-colour status are all declared on the CoA.

Sterilization

ETO-free. No ethylene oxide, ever.

Ethylene-oxide (ETO) sterilization is banned or tightly restricted across the EU, UK and North America, and an ETO detection is one of the fastest ways for a spice consignment to be rejected or recalled at the border. We never use it.

Microbial reduction is handled by steam sterilization where a treatment is required, and the method applied is stated on each lot's Certificate of Analysis. A GC-MS residue report confirming ETO-free status is available on request for buyers in markets that screen for it.
